Come and enjoy the beautiful town of Ojai with us !

Ojai is a magical town.  The population is about 8,000 people.  It’s been written about in the New York Times.  It has been referred to as Shangra-la.  It was the backdrop of the movie “Lost Horizons”.  It is home to Libbey Bowl, The Oaks at Ojai Spa, The Ojai Valley Inn, numerous hiking trails, it’s close to the beach (about 15 miles), and about 5 miles to Lake Casitas.  Ojai sits on the edge of the Los Posas National Forest, home to an abundance of wildlife.  Check out this Black bear  wandering around in Matilija Canyon and this Bobcat.

Ojai is home to many families, artists, musicians, and entertainers.  It is home to many private schools including Thacher School and Ojai Valley School to name a few.  There are a variety of great restaurants, art galleries, and shops.  You’ve got to see the world famous Barts Books.  Ojai is also home of the Ojai Summer Band.  This band performs free concerts every summer at the gazebo in Libbey Park.  Another popular event is the annual Ojai Music Festival.  And now, Ojai is home to the Ojai Pops Orchestra!

Every Sunday is the wonderful Farmers Market.  There you will find yourself entertained by some of Ojai’s talented musicians.  There is a lot to do in this beautiful little town.  Some of Ojai’s popular residents include Maynard Ferguson, Roger Kellaway, Jacob Scesney (Post Modern Jukebox), Karl Hunter (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy), Ruben Salinas (Eric Burton), Jim Calire (America & the Ravens), Mario Calire, Dave Palmer, Mark Parsons, and Virginia Kron (cello).  Sartuse has been leading drum circles at Libbey Bowl for years.  It’s amazing what you can experience on a typical day in Ojai.
